The Trotter Foundation

Kansas City, Missouri

We never could have imagined what we would see, hear and feel as we went with the Trotter Family to film their work in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Working with the Sath family in Ta Khumau, a suburb south of the capitol, the Trotters help support the Jesus House, a home dedicated to saving children from being captured into the sex-slave markets of Cambodia. It is estimated that there are 100,000 children living in brothel cages serving the sex tourist industry in Phnom Penh alone! Through education, feeding programs and health care the Trotters strive to provide opportunities for children as young as 5 years of age to develop a skill that can lift them out of the poverty cycle that binds them. Steve, my sound tech, and I had a difficult time turning the camera off and heading back to the States. The sex-slave market is unacceptable and must be battled! Our hope is that the photos/video will break hearts to respond to the desperate needs of these children.
